Coping with the COVID-19 Pandemic: Identifying and Assisting the Most Vulnerable and Socially Isolated Adults Struggling with Behavioral Health Problems

When: Thursday, April 2 - 2:00 PM

Duration: 1 hours

Location: Webex

Event Details:

We are all experiencing highly stressful challenges during this unprecedented pandemic. Adults with serious mental health and/or substance use problems are particularly vulnerable, especially those who live alone and have little social connections. One of the most critical and universal resiliency factors during highly adverse conditions involves access to social support.

We have organized a 45-minute conversation involving Anthony Salerno, Ph.D., Paul Margolies, Ph.D. and Ruth Colon-Wagner LMSW that is designed to explore strategies that are practical for behavioral health practitioners working with adults and helpful to the most isolated clients. This discussion is designed to invite attendees to ask questions as well as share their efforts, suggestions and successful strategies. In this way, the entire system can benefit from the collective expertise and experience of front line practitioners and organizations.
