Many parents are being overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic. They are being asked to be child care providers, teachers, mental health professionals, and crisis counselors, and many are left to their own devices to address the needs of their children. Parents of children with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges are especially in need of support. This two-part series will focus on giving providers the tools they need to address the serious mental health and behavioral challenges parents and caregivers may face in the era of social isolation.

Part 2 will focus on giving providers the tools to help parents/caregivers utilize positive behavioral support and de-escalation strategies to prevent problems from escalating or promoting resilience coping when they do.

This event is now closed.
