Complex trauma results from children’s exposure to multiple interpersonal traumatic events. These severe events such as abuse or neglect typically occur early in life and can disrupt the child’s development and interfere with their ability to form secure attachments. 

This webinar will provide an overview of working with children, youth and families experiencing complex trauma and disorders of attachment. Including a thorough overview of dyadic developmental psychotherapy, an evidence-based relational approach to treating complex trauma and disorders of attachment.  In this webinar, participants we be provided an overview of assessment with a focus for evaluating complex trauma and attachment, including what to assess, a model for assessment, and an outline for a thorough evaluation. 


About the Presenter:

Dr. Arthur Becker-Weidman is a certified therapist, consultant, and trainer of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. He is a Registered Clinician with the Association for the Treatment and Training in the Attachment of Children. His focus is on trauma and issues of attachment.
