Understanding ACEs Across Generations
When: Wednesday, April 19 - 12:30 PM
Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes
Location: Zoom
Event Details:
The original ACEs study examined the impact of early adversity on adults. Cendie Stanford learned about ACEs when she came across the ACEs questionnaire on a copy machine. This experience launched her on a path to developing a greater understanding of ACEs in her life and a career in raising awareness about ACEs to promote healing, recovery and growth in her communities. In that journey, she has come to create her own ACEs Genealogy to better understand the legacy of trauma and resilience in her family. In this webinar, Cendie shares the process of creating her ACEs Genealogy and provides insights to participants about the value of this process personally and professionally. This is a follow-up to Cendie's previous presentation, History Matters: Using ACEs Research to Conduct a Family Genealogy.
