Partnering with families who have experienced grief and loss can be very difficult. This workshop is designed to help Family Peer Advocates understand the stages and expressions of grief in children and families, and identify the different needs and responses to grief based on age, development, and family dynamics. Other learning objectives in this training include providing practical tools and techniques for supporting grieving children and their families and fortifying an FPA’s knowledge base in working with families experiencing grief and loss.
