Clinical Intensive - NYC (Afternoon)
When: Thursday, December 13 - 1:30 PM
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes
Location: Kimmel Center for University Life, Washington Square South, New York, NY, USA
Event Details:
This offering is designed to provide behavioral health providers with an understanding of and tools to address racial and cultural differences in therapeutic settings. Cultural competence and knowledge of effective approaches to addressing difference can improve the therapeutic alliance between providers and participants. All training attendees will examine the impact of implicit biases on their work, and practice addressing racial and cultural differences through role play exercises. At the end of the series, we expect clinicians to have learned new approaches that they can apply within their own clinical work.
