What differentiates perinatal anxiety disorders from generalized anxiety disorders? How do perinatal anxiety disorders differ from mood disorders?
TTAC invites you to explore this essential topic with Paige Bellenbaum and Dr. Catherine Birndoff from the Motherhood Center of New York.
During this webinar, we will discuss panic, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), PTSD and OCD which all fall under the category of perinatal anxiety disorders. This seminar will provide a deeper dive into this cluster of diagnosis in the perinatal period. Case presentations will be shared to support both diagnosis by presenters and clinicians are encouraged to bring their own cases to discuss.
As a result of attending this webinar, participants will:
• Gain a more thorough understanding of perinatal OCD and anxiety, what it looks like and how to treat it
• Gain a more thorough understanding of perinatal panic and PTSD and how previous sexual trauma/abuse can be activated in the perinatal period
• Feel more comfortable and confident recognizing these diagnoses and how to proceed with appropriate interventions
