This 2-part clinical intensive will assist behavioral health providers in identifying risk factors, prevention strategies, and management options for threats of violence and violent behavior. Participants will learn how to contextually examine threats, identify threatening behavior and signs of attack, in order to assess and de-escalate a situation.

Children and youth with mental health conditions can present with co-occurring intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) that often go underexplored and unaddressed. Promotion of the overall wellbeing of youth and their mental health must include systematic considerations of co-occurring intellectual and developmental disabilities. This presentation will provide an overview of co-occurring mental health conditions in children and youth.

The Managed Care Technical Assistance Center (MCTAC), in partnership with the Community Technical Assistance Center (CTAC), is excited to invite you to our 2nd Annual Documentation Training Event. This year’s in-person event will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Albany. This event is designed to help behavioral health providers navigate best-practices, documentation trends, and effective procedures. Providers will have the opportunity to engage directly with OMH and discuss state-level expectations for documentation.
